Hermans Springs – Custom tension springs for professional applications
We design and manufacture custom tension springs, as well as compression, torsion and flat springs for industrial OEMs, machine builders and technical distributors.
Why choose Hermans Springs?
- B2B focus: short lead times, consistent quality and reliable deliveries for your supply chain.
- Engineering support: assistance with calculating spring constant, extension, working stroke and fatigue life.
- Custom production: from prototypes and small batches to fully automated large-scale production.
- Material expertise: spring steel, stainless steel (AISI 302/304/316), SiCr, Inconel® and other alloys upon request.
- Finishing options: shot peening, electro-nickel plating, phosphating, passivation and heat treatment.
Custom tension springs & springs cut to length
We supply custom tension springs with your required wire ø, outer diameter, pitch, stroke and spring cut to length (custom length or pre-tensioned version). Hook types such as German/English hooks, screw eyes, side hooks or custom ends are part of our standard options.
Typical specifications: wire ø 0.20–12.00 mm, outer diameter 2.0–90.0 mm, working load according to the defined safety factor, tolerances per drawing or relevant standard. Material certificates and measurement reports available upon request.
Applications & industries
Our springs are used in machinery, intralogistics, automotive, equipment manufacturing, agriculture, medical devices, building hardware and retail displays. We focus on assembly efficiency, lifetime and total cost of ownership.
Quality & traceability
Quality starts with design: we combine simulations with first article inspection and in-process sampling. Each project receives a clear bill of materials, revision control and traceable batches, ensuring consistent performance.
How we collaborate
- Analysis – evaluating drawings, function and operating conditions (temperature, corrosion, dynamic load).
- Optimization – recommendations for material, spring rate and end design.
- Prototyping – quick samples for fit and functional testing.
- Series production – scalable manufacturing with fixed lead times and transparent pricing.
